For this recipe, we use mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, blue cheese and white wine vinegar to make the perfect blend of flavors. The dressing has less than one gram of carbs per serving.

Substitutions
If you don’t want to use buttermilk, the best replacement is more sour cream. Just add an additional 3 tbsp of sour cream to the mixture instead.
Blue cheese can be too pungent for some people. If you’d like a more mild-flavored dressing, go with a mild stilton or gorgonzola instead of blue.
Vegan mayonnaise can be used in this dressing. We’ve used many different types of mayonnaise with great success.

Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing
Ingredients
- 2 oz blue cheese crumbled
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp buttermilk
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 2 tsp white wine vinegar
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients together in a small mixing bowl. Stir well to combine, making sure to fully incorporate the blue cheese. Some of the cheese should be mashed in, while some pieces remain whole.
Notes
- You can substitute the buttermilk with equal amounts of sour cream.
- This dressing will keep for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
