Added sugar is always a problem with store-bought dressings. They can be packed with hidden sugars you wouldn’t have expected, which can really ratchet up the carb count. That’s why I always make my own dressing at home – and this blue cheese dressing is one of my favorites.

Making your own dressing allows you to regulate what goes in it. You can be sure that there are no sneaky carbs that can really wreck your keto progress.

For this recipe, we use mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, blue cheese and white wine vinegar to make the perfect blend of flavors. The dressing has less than one gram of carbs per serving.

It’s perfect on top of salads, like this Flank Steak Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing, or a typical side salad for dinner. We also love using this dressing as a dip for veggies – it makes a quick and tasty snack.
