The biggest issue with these cookies is their ability to spread while baking. Refrigerate the dough for at least an hour before cooking. While one batch is baking put the raw dough back in the refrigerator to keep cold.
The cookies will lose some oil while cooking. It will reabsorb after baking and firm up. Leave them on the baking sheet until they have cooled down.
You can change these up in a number of ways. Change up the nuts, cut out the coconut, or add different flavors of chocolate chips. That is the great things about this cookie. It will taste great no matter what combination you use.
